MilPAC-III – 2013
The MilPAC-III is a powerhouse of a portable. As ‘normal’ laptops become more powerful and efficient, the leading edge of rugged portables has to distance itself. The MilPAC-III is a long way from a laptop! Designed as a C4ISR portable from the beginning, the MilPAC -III is an uncompromised workhorse. With three screens that fold and stow for transport, the MilPAC-III can fit through any hatch on a ship or submarine, and once strapped to a desk or workstation, will work reliably in any sea conditions.
The MilPAC has been designed to work in forward deployed environments and on board ships. It has passed the Mil-Std 901D test for shock in ship-borne applications. This violent test simulates the ship running into a mine, or being torpedoed. After the test (which is usually regarded as destructive) the MilPAC-III powered on without issue.
