Rugged Deployable Dual Display
The RMDDU-23 was designed to be used in a deployed environment; mounted in a combination case and shipped around the World. During the design phase, our engineers realized that there is a lot of mass between the screen hinges and the front panel. In order to pass strict mil-std transit and drop tests the whole front of the rack has to be solid and reliable. This is why the RMDDU series sport such beautiful and robust aluminum handles. They perform a dual purpose; physically locate the two displays in two dimensions so there is minimal strain on the hinges, and locate in the side clasps that restrict movement in all three planes and give the RMDDU its superior strength and reliability.
Not everyone wants to ship their RMDDU around the World in the back of a military transport vehicle. So for slightly more sedate environments, we have developed a narrower, but still robust clasp that narrows the profile of the RMDDU-23 to a true 19″ This means the RMDDU series displays can be mounted in racks with doors or in other scenarios where a true max width of 19″ rail to rail is required.
Available *now* as a no-cost option on the RMDDU-23, RMDDU-19 and RMDDU-17 displays from ACME Government Systems.
